AB  - This study presents the rewriting of the “History of Fidélia” by Marie Leprince de Beaumont, published in her Magasin des Adolescentes in 1760. The text of English origin goes through interesting developments during the eighteenth century. Taking into account the development of the history as well as the conditions of publication, this article analyzes the relationship between philosophy, religion and the image of woman transmitted by the text particularly in the version of Leprince de Beaumont.
