It identifies the profile of the theater entrepreneur, who wrote according to circumstance and whose plays were disposable. It discusses Donneau’s various writings in favor of Molière using the notion of the secretary, which allows his disparate interventions to be considered together and connected to prevailing professional practices that went beyond the world of the theater.
