AB  - Zsófia Molnár, doctor of theater studies, translator and supertitler, tells about paradoxical position as “mediator of the immediate”. Supertitling is not just a textual matter: it is a live performance. As a result, the supertitler finds herself both inside the show (as close as possible to the performers onstage) and outside it, in a no-man’s-land between action and reaction. Such a position implies a delicate “negotiation” between both sides, to be carried anew every evening.
