AB  - Based on a collection of plays mostly staged at children’s theatres during the July Monarchy, this study aims to analyze the issue of the reclaim of practices or attributes of masculinity by adult men, and their appropriation by young boys. It shows how the French Revolution influenced the ratio of power between these categories, as well as the performativity of masculinity and one’s belonging to an age group.
