Preparations went on for over six months, and affected just about every aspect of cultural life. Dance played a significant role in all the London celebrations, and instances abound of theatrical masques and entr’acte dances to honour the royal couple. This article examines how such choreographic display both reflected and stimulated patriotic feeling.
