This is why reading Judith Butler, Luce Irigaray, and Monique Wittig leads to a re-evaluation of facticity and transcendence, concepts developed by Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir: subjective existence carries a potentiality-to-be that reappropriates and surpasses the condition imposed on it.
