AB  - Sartre’s dissertation allows us to appreciate his relationship with the French philosophical psychology of the 1920s in the context of a Bergsonian influence that the younger generation was beginning to contest. The young Sartre proposes a psychology of the original image in dialogue with the theory of symbolism of the masters. The problem of introspection makes it possible for him to complicate the relationship between psychology and philosophy by raising questions about the (subjective) psychology of the philosophe.
