AB  - The aim of this article is to systematize the current debate on digital hermeneutics on the basis of studies conducted by its author in recent years. In particular, the first part of the article describes five possible meanings of digital hermeneutics: deconstructive, epistemological, ontological, anthropological-existential and cultural. In the second part, the author focuses on the ontological meaning and proposes his notion of “interpreting machines”, without excluding other meanings, already explored or yet to be discovered.
