AB  - Drawing on all the articles in the issue, we propose here to take up the general hypothesis of « digital surveillability » to lay down the first terms of a general theory of the screen performances of surveillance. Following on from our examination of the notions of « watching », « screening », « scanning », « checking », « tracing » and « stalking », the aim is to analyze « monitoring » and « screen capture » as the dual origins of the surveillance practices of our media age.
