AB  - We examine the reasons for the philosophical interest in medicine, particularly from an ethical perspective. This study analyzes the reasons for its formulation, then the way it was deployed while seeking to avoid the pitfall of a loss of the relationship to “reality”. Eventually, it proposes a specific vision of a fieldwork philosophy, in connection with Canguilhem thought of individual norms and a form of ethnography attentive to the irreducible diversity of ways of living and being.
