Interactive films and multi-screen video installations allow us to rethink the linearity of film editing in favor of approaches that highlight other dimensions of the editing process. More specifically, an analysis of interactive films or installation works allows us to see, on the one hand, that the public now plays a more active role in the editing of a film and, on the other hand, that the concern for narrative coherence that is still found in several of these projects hinders the exploration of the possibilities of editing in the digital age.
