A blend of live action, craft scenography and digital imagery is used to reconstruct life and movements of a dozen characters from the canvas. The painter himself appears during the film to offer explanations about the origin and meaning of his painting, which turns Majeswki’s film into a contemplation of the creative process and the History of arts.
