AB  - How do posters or playing cards, conceived as living pictures, play with the nature and properties of the image? The analysis is based on the concept of « image act » (Bredekamp), and on an Husserlian distinction of the images. We will first examine how the poster and the playing card, by becoming living paintings, implement a cinema of attractions. We will see then how the living paintings question the notion of « representation ».
