AB  - This contribution seeks to understand the reasons for the rapprochement between Cendrars and Roger Nimier after 1945, at a time when committed and “disengaged” literature were clashing. Roger Nimier was very active in the constellation of “Hussard” writers and in the journals that brought them together (La Table Ronde, Opéra, Arts); he had a sincere admiration for Cendrars, and succeeded in having important texts of him published in the periodicals in which he worked. His interest in Cendrars however was not without ideological issues, which took on their meaning in the context of the literary “cold war”.
