Not only is Blaise’s “blaze” often evoked, but his work itself has been taken up and adapted, notably by Ekoué, Eska, and JoeyStarr. This article examines how these re-enunciations infuse Cendrars’s writings with surprisingly renewed emphases, both thematically and aesthetically.
