AB  - Bertrand Tavernier is a director whose work may be of interest to jurists. Contextualization was always a primary consideration in his cinema, particularly with regard to law and politics. His film Le Juge et l’Assassin is the paradigmatic example of this. It allows him to show the state institutions of the Third Republic in a new light by rethinking the relationship between individuals and multiple governmental authorities.
