AB  - World literature has gained in importance within the field of comparative literature, to the point of partially renewing it. This development is undoubtedly beneficial, but it requires a reflection on what is meant by world and how to apprehend it. Sometimes paradoxically ethnocentric, the point of view favoured by world literature has recently been discussed from the angle of postcolonial studies. Here, we examine what the relationship between world literature and geocriticism might consist of.
