AB  - Mohamed Dib’s novel L’Arbre à dires is a dialogue between a father and his daughter, and a meditation on writing and creation. In what is akin to a game of pure language between father and daughter, a reflection on existence at a time when Algeria is in the grip of unspeakable violence takes place. Thus, through the motifs of the gaze and the symbolism of trees, the aesthetic experience is considered in its relationship to nature as original background.
