AB  - The options chosen by six books published between 2004 and 2019 allow us to consider a history of the contribution of translations to the European heritage. These operate cultural transfers in the fields of religion and philosophy, historiography, law and science. Thus, the history of translations, which have continued to circulate in Europe, is a privileged tool for understanding the formation of a “European civilization”.
