AB  - On the 1st October 1873, a review article links Les Amours jaunes with the Romanticism of 1830 and with Realism. With a republican perspective that the poet of « La Pastorale de Conlie » would have rejected, the author praises « all revolt, even when it fails », taking aim at the « potentates » of modern poetry but also, implicitly, those seeking the restoration of the monarchy.
