AB  - The Boland case, named after its Belgian protagonist, was a highlight of French judicial and political life from December 1882 to August 1883. All the newspapers talked about it and saw it as a financial scandal to disqualify the opportunists. Mirbeau, who just founded the Grimaces, is no exception. With the help of Grosclaude, in issues 3, 4, 5 and 6, not only he makes fun of the Belgian, but also attacks parliamentarians and businessmen.
