AB  - A well-known figure in Neuchâtel, Philippe Godet (1850–1922) was a privileged witness to the situation in Switzerland during the First World War. His opinions on the attitude the country should adopt during the conflict brought him close to the enragés and as a result attracted virulent criticism from Paul Seippel. In turn, Godet reproached the author of Les Deux Frances for conducting himself in a way that threatened Switzerland’s stability.
