AB  - This article examines medieval and modern hanging places in the kingdom of France in the 13th-18th centuries and the judicial structures they contained. By focusing on a political reading of the subject, this article sheds light on the different forms of hanging installations, their spatial inscriptions and their importance in the game of competitive relations between the high justiciars.
