AB  - Elucidating the mythical underpinning of the royal court, which is omnipresent in the tale, leads us to a cosmic scenario that governs the story line. Three medieval works can provide a key; they speak of wounded kings and queens, of widowhood and wastelands, and of the urgency of royal healing to restore the original order. This scenario with cosmic implications, from the « magic mill » to the utopia of Cocagne, is tirelessly revisited by the tale.
