AB  - The Mirror of the Ladies written by Bouton, most probably dedicated to the Duchess Mary of Burgundy, has chivalric and Marian tones, with possible ribald undertones. Through female exemplary characters (such as the Sibyls or the Nine Female Worthies) and a moral comparison between men and women, Bouton offers a praise of women in line with the Querelle des Femmes, although not devoid of irony and comforting the patriarchal order.
