But his claim has become an accepted truth among historians. This article aims to demonstrate the validity of Magnin’s hypothesis through an analysis of the use of figures that can be construed as puppets in various liturgical ceremonies of the Easter season: Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter and Ascension.
