They rely upon the quod omnes tangit from Codex Justinianeus. The magnates’ consent allows ensuring the decisions’ applications. They are dramatized to underline the kingdom’s deep unity. In this way, they contribute to create the idea of a kingdom as a constituted political body and herald the great assemblies gathered by Philip IV the Fair in the 1300s.
