AB  - This paper compares the epistles « des Dames de Paris au Roy Françoys » and « de Jehan Marot à la Royne Claude » in order to demonstrate how the two works depict the same event from a different point of view. The ladies wrote letters to regret the King’s absence whereas the poet highlights his epic battles. This mirroring strategy offers gender-oriented perspectives on war: the masculine thunder of the battles paves the way for the feminine bells announcing peace.
