AB  - Jean Marot’s Voyage de Venise, which relates the French victory over the Venetian army, at the battle of Agnadello, provides the Queen Anne of Brittany with an unprecedented position in the account of events which unfolded on Italian soil. In particular, Jean Marot underscores the exemplary love which unites her to Louis XII and turns her into a heroine, like the ancient writers of Ovid’s Heroides. This study analyses the consequences of this representation of the queen as a loving, loyal and devout spouse.
