AB  - After Anne of Brittany died, Jean Marot composed a range of poems (Epistre des dames de Paris au Roy Françoys, Epistre des dames de Paris aux courtisans de France, Commencement d’une epistre à la Royne Claude) devoted to Francis the First’ military conquests in Italy. Read together, these texts shape a ‘Voyage de Milan’ which reveals a last mutation in Marot’s poetics: the epic history is replaced with a more familiar tone.
