AB  - Thibaud ou les Croisades, broadcast by ORTF between November 1968 and December 1969, was the first historical television series set during the Crusades. It allows us to explore the representation of the Crusades in the political and socio-cultural context of the 1970s. By examining the construction of the series and the Crusade, we can learn how this complex phenomenon was perceived and portrayed, and what it reveals about a society’s mentalities and imaginations during the period.
