AB  - The natural history lexicon represents an important renewal in DRAE published in the second half of the19th century. This article aims to study the sources used to prepare the definition of terms of this field in DRAE 1899. In particular, it considers the use made of the Dictionnaire Général des Sciences Théoriques et Appliquées (1864-1869) by way of a quick survey of the entries made in the Fichero de adiciones y enmiendas (card index of additions and corrections).
