AB  - It is shown that two French verbs traditionally considered to be stative, savoir and connaître, have a complex aspectual structure, each conveying two sub-events. For savoir, the first sub-event refers to a dynamic process (accomplishment), i.e. an event with fixed boundary (“to find out x”), whereas the second sub-event is a state. For connaître, the first sub-event refers to a dynamic process (“to experience x”) and the second to a state.
