AB  - This article focuses on the vocabulary of professions contained in the DICTER corpus. It is a lexical field that warrants attention because the need to name the practice of scientific and technical activities meant that authors used different types of words. The study concludes that the words used were determined by the texts in which they appear and by the desire to confer prestige on Castilian usage or to disseminate and popularize science through Greek and Latin forms.
