AB  - This article is based in part on the author’s personal experiences translating several of Nodier’s texts that were previously unknown to the Russian public, including short stories from the “sensible derider” period. Then comes the analysis of certain comparative works devoted to Nodier’s influence on Russian literature and two hypotheses on two particular manifestations of this influence: the role of Sbogar in a short story by Pushkin and the role of Smarra in a poem by Nikolai Gumilev.
