AB  - Among the possible sources of Cyrano de Bergerac, one has been neglected: the short story by Nodier (who played a pioneering role in the rehabilitation of Cyrano de Bergerac in the nineteenth century) L’Amour et le Grimoire, first published in 1832. In this tale, a young woman falls in love with the author of letters written on behalf of a less literate young man.
