AB  - Read, translated, recorded and represented, Claudel gradually fell into oblivion because of his Catholic faith and his eloquent but obscure style. Despite the slow revival of interest in the last decade of the twentieth century, knowledge of Claudel remains limited in Italy to intellectual circles, especially Catholic ones. This strangeness is visible in the Italian translations of Claudel, preceded by brief introductions, where the translator tries to situate the work and its author.
