AB  - The opinions on about music and that on literature, formed by the NRF, appeared greatly similar. It should be noted there was a opposition in regards with any doctrinal position expressed by writers who were good musicians. Only the ultimate works were worth their interest. These works were judged in the light of the novelty features in comparison with as much the French tradition, largely despised. While the unanimous opinion on Debussy was made, the points of view on Stravinsky, Ravel and Poulenc were divergent. Gide finally returned to Chopin and Mozart.
