Through eight Ulyssian novels by Zable, Mendelsohn, Pahor, Bachi, Mason, Schmitt, Declercq et Gamboa, we can pick up three features: family, war, exile. Ulysses symbolises family love tested by the war and/or the exile. It’s important to remark that, when those authors describe the odyssey of Australians, Colombians or Irakians, the myth sounds and functions always in European languages.
