AB  - On 21 August 1944, Camus became the editor-in-chief of Combat, a daily newspaper created during the Resistance. He wanted to contribute to the regeneration of the French press and of the country’s politics. He became aware that this was a mistake. So he devoted himself to his literary work and to a role as a whistle-blower. The controversy with d’Astier de la Vigerie serves to illustrate this.
