AB  - Fires are an indissociable part of the life of cathedrals and more broadly of large buildings. From their omnipresence to the means employed to fight fire, from their origin (accidental or deliberate) to the identification of the traces they have left in monuments and the role they play in the reconstruction of certain buildings, this volume questions how these fires can be used as objects of study based on seven case studies.
