Abstract: Often neglected and undervalued, Hitchcock’s 22 British films belong to numerous different genres, crime films and spy films, but also comedies, melodramas and prestige adaptations. In Hollywood, Hitchcock continues to cast British actors and to adapt ostensible or disguised British sources.
