Abstract:The Rings of Power and House of the Dragon, adapted for the screen from literary works, are fantastical medieval worlds, where the heroes and heroines assert themselves through stylized and functional full-body armor. The Art nouveau and New Sculpture movements, ancestors of the armor of Galadriel and Daemon Targaryen, can be glimpsed behind the fantasy aesthetic. Today’s series are a continuation of a world that already imagined itself to be fantastic.
