  • Abstract: Aired in late 2019, the television series Watchmen, created by Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers, and others), is a direct sequel to the comic book series of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, published between 1986 and 1987. In a near future where law enforcement is engaged in a struggle with right-wing extremists, everyone acts behind a mask. Pitting two clear-cut political factions against one another, Watchmen relentlessly scrutinizes the complexity of the world, much like the original graphic novel.
