Abstract: The popular and sentimental press market has given the photo-novel so much space to develop that it seems to have taken it hostage. However, whether nostalgia for the great novel makes it look to the past, or a taste for innovative methods leads to experimentation, the photo-novel has been used in far richer ways than we think.
