Abstract: This interview describes the genesis of Pierre Schoentjes’s interest in ecopoetics and questions the place of this critique and the work carried out on the literature.green website relating to American ecocriticism, environmental humanities, and zoopoetics. Pierre Schoentjes explains how a novel expresses the relationship between man and nature, and he emphasizes, as a member of the Ecology Novel Prize jury, that fiction does not need to have an activist bent to change minds.
