Abstract: In series for teenagers, recent output has been marked by the recycling of references cultivated in the service of a fiction that is modest in its tools yet effective in its impact. This young adult romanesque, studied here based on the “vampiric” corpus, leads to an inferential understanding, which the reader must be able to obtain from a “repertoire” undergoing reconfiguration. These works are therefore conducive to waking dreams and pensiveness.
