Abstract: True to its vocation, the introductory article of this issue presents its objectives and approach. The aim is to use various viewpoints to offer a new and representative—but not exhaustive—overview of Roland Dorgelès’s work. The articles are arranged so as to engage in dialogue with each other, to offer a new approach to his journalistic writings and his published and unpublished romanesque, autobiographical, and travel works, and to characterize Dorgelès’s poetics.
