Abstract: This article analyzes the relationship between phenomenology of life founded by Michel Henry and possible mystical sources. Although there is very little reference to the mystical in his philosophical work, Michel Henry holds in high esteem the mystical. The aesthetic experience, because of its intensity, would be designated as a form of mystical experience. Therefore, the novels of Michel Henry are built around characters who live experiences that are similar to mystical experiences.
