L’affabulation d’une mystique romanesque Bernanos et la finitude transfigurée

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Roman mystique, mystiques romanesques aux xxe et xxie siècles
  • Author: Richard (Philippe)
  • Abstract: Mister Ouine’s death, at the end of the last novel of Bernanos, is not a fall in the nothingness. This hypothesis, thanks to an exercise of “affabulation” (Marc Escola) intended to understand how are ordered the various episodes of the fiction, is accredited by some significant semantic and syntactical choices in the text. It can reveal a mystic functioning and allow a mystic nature of the novel.
